Auf der neu gestalteten WebSite von Image Entertainment sind bereits die November-Titel von Criterion bekannt gegeben worden.

Was soll man sagen. "Ugetsu" als 2-DVD-Set mit Audiokommentar, 2 1/2-stündiger Doku (!!!), Interviews, usw ... "Ran" ebenfalls als 2-DVD-Set mit Chris Markers "A.K." aber leider ohne Audiokommentar von z.B. Stephen Prince ... und "Tales of Hoffmann" mit den Extras der LaserDisc und weiterem Bonusmaterial. Der interessanteste Monat des Jahres bei Criterion!

Ein AK mit Stephen Prince ist ja auf der Wellspring-DVD.

Diese Extras scheinen ja exklusiv zu sein. Vor allem die Toho-Doku freut mich und das "reconstructing"-Feature klingt ja auch sehr interessant. |

Hi,
Sehr schön Tales und Ugestu sind gekauft, Ran ist wie befürchtet nicht so verlockend, Markers AK ist schon auf der deutschen DVD, da werde ich hier wohl aussetzen. Es sei denn natürlich in Sachen Bild ist die CC viel besser, was ich aber nicht so ganz glaube.
Also nur zwei Sachen für mich, und wenn auch herausragende, hatte der Monat ruhig noch eine Überraschung vertragen können...imho gabs da schon interessantere Monate dieses Jahr.

Die Doku auf Ugetsu wird wohl diese hier sein: http://german.imdb.com/title/tt0071163/
Die DVD werd ich mir wohl zulegen. Aber irgendwie ist dieses Jahr für mich der Wurm drin bei den Veröffentlichungen, habe erst einein Titel aus dem diesjährigen Programm gekauft. |

Eben! Und da Criterion einen Lizenzvertrag mit Wellspring besitzt, wäre es sehr schön gewesen, wenn es der Audiokommentar mit auf die neue Scheibe geschafft hätte.

Das "Reconstructing"-Feature der "Kagemusha"-DVD war schon sehr schön. Die Bilder von Kurosawa finde ich interessant und schön anzusehen. Die bisherigen Toho-Dokus waren ebenfalls sehr interessant. Aus dem Grund freue ich mich auf die Criterion-DVD von "Ran", auch wenn ich die deutsche DVD besitze.
