Simone Simon's lustful succubus and Walter Huston's grinning
demon huckster seduce a New England farmer. Originally released in
1941, The Devil and Daniel Webster was re-released in a much shorter
version in 1952. After discovering a complete print in 1990, This
release was digitally transferred, fully restored, and the print was
retimed shot by shot, adding over 20 minutes of footage from the
original 1941 release.
"The disc's commentary is expert; Devil now stands as one of
Hollywood's premier achievements of the 1940s." -Mike Clark, USA
