Some directors are worth taking a chance on. Michael Steinberg is one of them. For his first feature he convinced an all box-office cast to take a chance on a low-budget movie with a good script. For the disc, Eric Stoltz and screenwriter Roger Hedden joined him in telling the intimate story of a classic independent production, from their earliest struggles to their triumph at the Sundance Film Festival.


This character study of twenty-something romance and ennui, set in the American Southwest, stars Phoebe Cates, Bridget Fonda, Tim Roth, and Eric Stoltz. Bodies, Rest & Motion charts one weekend in the interwoven lives of two men and two women trying to reconcile dreams of love and contentment with realities of false starts and missed opportunities.
