"If God created laserdisc machines for the sake of viewing one film in
particular, that film would have to be Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966
masterpiece Blowup." -Elaine Bailey, Movieline
Revolving around the flashy "Swinging London" scene of the 1960s, this thriller
involves a fashion photographer who inadvertently photographs a murder. Obsessed
with finding out the truth about the events caught on film, the photographer
compulsively enlarges and examines the images. David Hemmings gives a bravura
performance as the increasingly nervous photographer, and Vanessa Redgrave plays
the mysterious woman who desperately wants a certain roll of film. The
Criterion Collection release of Blowup features: - A gorgeous widescreen
transfer
- The original theatrical trailer
- The complete text of Julio
Cortazar's short story, "Blow-Up," which inspired the film
