"Marilyn Monroe fans will find the two Criterion discs give the most of Monroe." -Barbara Saltzman, The Los Angeles Times

Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis star as Joe and Jerry, two musicans on the run from the mob, who must dress up in drag and join an all-woman band. While on tour, Joe/Josephine falls in love with band member Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe). Both Criterion editions of this gender bending comedy, directed by Billy Wilder, offer the original widescreen aspect ratio, audio commentary about the movie's production and stars by film historian Howard Suber, and the theatrical trailer.

The CAV edition also includes:

  • Home movies of Marilyn Monroe, her then-husband Arthur Miller, Tony Curtis and his then-wife Janet Leigh (with baby Jamie Lee!), and director Billy Wilder
  • Production stills in black and white and color
