Alicia (Ingrid Bergman) is the daughter of a convicted Nazi war criminal, recruited into a spy ring by an American agent (Cary Grant). To infiltrate the Nazi party in South America, Alicia marries her father's friend. Both Criterion editions feature audio commentary by film expert Rudy Behlmer, discussing director Alfred Hitchcock's collaboration with David O. Selznick. Criterion's transfer was made directly from the original camera negative.
