After escaping enemy capture, a beautiful princess and her loyal followers hide out in a secret mountain fortress. They disguise themselves as
peasants before fleeing across enemy territory with a trunk full of gold. During their escape, the clan runs into one exciting chase and swordfight
after another. This film, directed by Akira Kurosawa, has been acknowledged by George Lucas as a primary influence on Star Wars.
